So… LA Finally Got Its Own Luxury Weed Lounge

Born and raised in LA, I’m the type of girl who always knows where the good vibes are. If there’s a rooftop with a killer view, a taco truck that hits at 2am, or a new lounge opening up, you’ll probably catch me there with a joint in hand. I love sharing the little gems I find around the city — the spots, the snacks, and the moments that make LA what it is.

Only in Los Angeles could smoking a joint feel like a full-on red-carpet event. We’ve already got goat yoga, $18 smoothies, and now? A members-only cannabis lounge on Sunset Boulevard. Yep — the Sunset Social Club just opened, and it’s giving “Soho House but make it weed.”
Picture velvet chairs, mood lighting, mocktails with THC, and a DJ spinning in the corner. This is not your living room sesh with a half-broken bong.
Why Everyone’s Talking About It
The big deal here isn’t just that it looks fancy. New California laws finally let lounges serve fresh food and drinks — so this is one of the first places in West Hollywood where you can actually order a meal and light up in the same spot. And because it’s LA, of course it had to be extra.
The Vibe Check
Would I join? Honestly… maybe. Hanging out with friends, sipping a THC cocktail, and catching a live set in WeHo sounds very “main character moment.”
But also — and maybe this is just me — the only thing missing is that I can’t scroll a menu on Weede first and have my favs waiting when I get there. Lounges are cute for the vibe, but 90% of the time? I’m at home in sweatpants clicking “delivery.”
Bigger Picture
LA’s cannabis scene is leveling up. These lounges are part of a bigger shift: weed isn’t “taboo” anymore — it’s becoming part of everyday culture. Like coffee shops, bars, or brunch spots… except it smells a little louder.
Not saying I need a membership… but also kinda saying that.
Pro tip: If you’re not trying to drop $$$ on a lounge membership, stick to online ordering. Browsing LA dispensary menus in one place is so much easier — I just use Weede when I’m not in the mood to play dress-up for weed.
